Learning to move and access menus
These are the default keys that you will use to move around in the game. Log into MinecraftEdu and practice using the keys. Once you feel comfortable moving in MinecraftEdu, click on the next tab to learn the Teacher Tools.
W: Moving forward
S: Moving backward
A: Move left
D: Move right
T: to access chat
ESC (escape): to return to the game screen
SPACE: Jump while moving
Double SPACE: Fly in creative mode
LEFT SHIFT: Sneak (fly down in creative mode)
E: Open inventory for supplies
P: Access Teacher Menu and Tools
M: Access Student Menu
Command+Shift+3: Take a screenshot
F2: Take a screenshot (these will be saved in your client folder - Client\minecraft\screenshots)
Tip: To look around while in the game move the mouse or slide your finger across the trackpad; if you are using a mouse, you can move it around to change your view or direction.
To Change Your Controls:
Game controls may be changed if you want to use different keys for any of the movements or commands.
1. Press ESC, then click on OPTIONS, then Controls...
2. To change a command, first select the corresponding button for a command then click the key on your keyboard that you want to use for that command.
3. Click "Done" when finished and return to the game.
